Depression Self Help—Art and Dreams
You must definitely find a way to fight against your depression; otherwise, there is no medicine that can cure you. Without your participation, this is impossible. Never believe the opposite, because sudden cures may also indicate sudden disease after a short period of time and constant dependence on treatment.
Dream interpretation is a method of psychotherapy that can be considered as a self-help based method, although you have the guidance of the wise unconscious that functions like a doctor. You don’t need to be treated by any other doctor if you pay attention to the messages you receive in your dreams and write them down.
You must follow the guidance you receive in your dreams, and this is the way you will help yourself. By interpreting your dreams, you will develop all your psychological functions and acquire a huger vision of reality, which can happen only if you cooperate with the doctor. The wise unconscious depends on your efforts to be able to cure you; otherwise, your own conscience will not develop. You must be independent and capable of solving your problems alone after receiving the first guidance.
People who have psychological problems find great relief in writing about their pain. You can do the same, even if you don’t have any special talent in writing.
Writing is a good occupation that will help you in many ways!
Write down your dreams in a notebook, and study them.
In addition, pen your thoughts and let them simply stay on the sheet of paper. Later, when you read them again, you will understand a few things about your own character and learn from your experiences and thoughts because you have written them and thus you can remember the conclusions that you made a long time ago, and compare them to the conclusions you have now.
You can also draw, even if you are not artistic or talented. It doesn’t matter, because your drawings will reflect your psychic condition. We can analyse drawings, literature and many other aspects of reality in the same way that we interpret dreams.
Thus, you will have two artistic occupations that will reveal your psychic condition and this will help you overcome your depression, since you will have an image and a report about your problems, which will certainly suggest the solution for them.
Your dreams will show you the exact solution without giving you any readymade answer and help you understand how you can become more intelligent and understand the meaning of your art and thoughts. You’ll have a new universe to explore!
You will learn so much about yourself and your present world that you will become wiser because you’ll acquire all this knowledge!
This is a new perspective that will help you recover the hope to be happy some day and this will in fact show you how you can start being happy now. You’ll see that the world is much more than what you imagined it to be and there are many other ways to arrive to the places where you want to go, besides the ones you already know.
